Believed to be an original 427/425hp car, this beautiful midyear convertible now sports a healthy 1970 LT1 engine and a low price tag! This 1966 Corvette Convertible is equipped with a big block radiator, as well as a 6500 rpm tachometer, which backs up what this car originally was. This car shows an assembly date of April 21, 1966, and a trim code of STD. Unique options on this Vette include F41 Suspension (1 of 2,705), and the close-ratio 4 speed. Paint is driver status, with few blemishes. Appearing to be newer, the convertible top is in great shape with no tears and a clear window. The chrome bumpers look to be newer all around as well, and are not showing any pitting, dings, or rust. Weatherstripping is in good shape, and the tailights are excellent with no cracks. This Corvette shows original unrestored wheel covers and door handles. Interior is very nice as well, with excellent seat covers, carpet, and door panels. Steering wheel is in original condition. Gauges are above average with clear lenses, defined needles, and a working clock. A set of GM seatbelts is present as well. A Custom Auto Sound cassette deck provides the tunes for this 1966 Corvette Convertible. The engine on this beast shows an assembly date of April 2, 1970, and the correct CTU suffix for the LT1 engine. The GM intake is stamped 3872788, and currently has a Holley carburetor. A set of longtube headers lets everyone else know that this Corvette packs some serious small block muscle under its hood. An owner's manual is included with this car, which shows a particularly clean, rust-free, and nicely detailed frame. A set of finned aluminum valve covers really sets off this engine bay, which has also been well-detailed.
