Sweeping lines and seductive curves make this exceptionally well optioned 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible a timeless American classic. This "first" of the Stingray Sharks boasts the numbers matching 350 cubic inch 300 h.p. motor, Air Conditioning, Power Steering, and the optional Automatic Transmission together create this very desirable dream machine cruiser.
EXTERIOR
Prior to my acquisition, this Stingray had received an older frame off restoration which included the rebuilding of all major components and bushings. The paint looks exceptional on the straight body mated to the solid Arizona/Texas chassis. The chrome is newer and looks very shiny beautiful. Brand new white letter radial tires look great on the original style factory issued rally wheels with beautiful trim rings and center caps. The headlights and the wipers are functional as are all of the lights, signals & seatbelts. The original Astro-Ventilation door glass remains with the car. The convertible top looks beautiful and brings top down fun on warm days to come.
INTERIOR
The interior is beautiful with recovered seats and top dash recently installed.
An upgraded stereo sound system w/iPOD connection (that required no modification of the dash) has been wired up to a 200w sound bar. The rear compartment doors are functional but no longer work like new. All of the lights are functional. All of the space age instrumentation looks nice and is functional including the tachometer (clock not working); making the interior look as authentic as it feels.
MECHANICAL
Still tucked away in the detailed motor compartment remains the rebuilt
numbers matching 350 cubic inch 300 horsepower power-plant (actually produces more h.p. now) mated to the factory Automatic Transmission. Many aesthetic enhancements were made to the motor including chromed alternator, valve covers, and master cylinder lid. The radiator has been rebuilt. The exhaust has been replaced at some point in the recent
past and it sounds good.
It’s been a lot of fun driving this car .
