Chrome exterior door handles look to be newer reproductions with a very good finish, and a slightly weak driver's return spring. Chrome bumpers are newer reproductions in good condition. Original taillights show typical light cracks, and are in fair condition. Weatherstripping appears to be newer, and is in very good condition; both the driver and passenger side windows show correct date codes. This 1972 Corvette Convertible wears rally wheels in very good condition, with very good condition trim rings and center caps. These wheels are mounted on nearly new BF Goodrich Radial T/A raished white letter tires, showing 11/32nds tread remaining. The interior of this car shows good condition original leather seat covers and foam, and good condition door panels, steering wheel, carpet, and gauges. Center console and dash pad are in very good condition. An older JVC cassette stereo has been added, but no cuts have been made to the dash to accommodate it. The original engine in this car shows casting date August 10, 1971, and an assembly date of August 12, 1971. Correct exhaust manifolds are present, as is the ignition shielding for the distributor. Cylinder heads show correct casting numbers and date codes. Correct vacuum hoses and a Quadrajet carburetor are also in place. Frame is solid and rust-free.
