| Rare LS6 454 engine, rebuilt by Al Hubbard, Hayward CA (brother of Vic Hubbard) water pump, starter, alternator, radiator were all replaced with new parts when the engine was re-installed. It has been over 10 years, but the car has not been driven except to keep the car in running condition. It has been mildly modified (6" spoiler added to rear), set up for Time Trials, (Roger Kraus Racing Suspension) but never raced. Needs TLC, went from always being in Garage in CA to sitting in the woods in Oklahoma. Runs, drives and shifts beautifully (no weird noises), but sometimes pops out of 4th gear when backing off the gas. Much more than the average corvette. The passenger seat has a small burn, if I didn't point it out to you, you probably wouldn't even notice it. The door panels and the front carpet need to be replaced. The rear window molding, (the inside trim around the rear window) has a crack in it. The rubber on the clutch peddle could be replaced, other than that, there are no other issues with the interior. The car has been sitting in an Oklahoma forest for the past year, and needs a good home out of the weather, which has taken it's toll on the paint. I've been told (by two different car detailers) that it could be rubbed out and it would look just a good as it ever did, but I think that it needs a new paint job. There are no issues with the T-Top, it has never leaked as long as I have owned the car, and that's been 10 years. I personally believe that the engine alone is worth at least $10K.(There was an engine and tranny listed on e-bay that sold for $10K and it had not even been started in over 30 years. The suspension was purchased for $3500 from Roger Kruse, Castro Valley, CA (he also installed it.) Basically it consists of gas shocks, "a" arms have been beefed up, heavy duty coil springs in the front, fiberglass rear spring, torsion bars that make the stock ones look like coat hangers. The power assist steering and ball joints have all been replaced with new parts. More info on request. Will trade for a Harley or a good tractor. David (580)743-3092 or TheWBDude@gmail.com |
