| Take a look at the condition of this 1982 Chevrolet Corvette with only 56,000 original miles. I have much of the original documentation for the car, such as the original dealer's copy of the options, owner's manual, orginal mechanical service agreement, original new car warranty brochure, etc. This is a classic muscle car which has been very well maintained. I encourage you to come and see the car or arrange for an inspection. It's not perfect, but it's a superb example of a car that has become a classic and is rising in value every year.
This car is MATCHING NUMBERS and has the original, unmodified 350 CI Cross Fire 200 HP fuel injected engine. It's a 4-speed automatic. The color is silver/beige, with a matching interior, which is collectors' edition colors. It also has power steering, power brakes, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, AC, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, 6-way power seats, gymkhana suspension, etc. The original stereo has been replaced with an AM/FM-cassette player, but the original style radios are still available at multiple locations online. It has the original smoked glass t-tops, which are in perfect condition. This model features the opening rear hatch (which is accessed behind the driver's seat), which is also a heated hatch. This care has the original cloisonne exterior, and the original collectors edition emblems. Also, to be sure it is an authentic Collectors Edition, the 6th digit of the VIN is a '0'. I even still have the original keys and key tag.
This was the first year that a corvette ever went over a base price of $20,000. This car sold new for $23,324.59. This model was not mass produced, but instead built to order, thus making it the Collectors' Edition. It has the original Collectors' Edition commemorative aluminum wheels, and the 2 front tires are brand new and the rear tires have about 90%. The tires are Goodyear Eagle GT II. Right now, the AC is working intermittently, sometimes cold, sometimes not. I am having it checked out now.
It has never been in an accident or smoked in, and all numbers match. It has never been raced or abused. The paint has a few little nicks that are hardly noticeable, and the original paint still looks great for a 25 year-old car. There are a couple of small areas where there is a small gap in the striping, but very minor and they make stripe kits for this car if you so desire ... but it's hardly noticeable.
The interior is in great shape as well with no tears in the seats or carpet. The leather seats have the normal wear from getting in and getting out of the contoured seat but it's overall good for a 25 year-old car
The black rivets you see along the trunk area are for the Corvette V-54 option, which was the rare roof panel carrier. You can see the brackets for it along with its pouch in the hatchback in one of the photos.
This is a great SURVIVOR CAR and very collectible. If there are any pictures you want that you don't see, please let me know and I'll take them and email them to you.
Car is located in Columbia, MD, (between Balto & Washington); prefer to have Buyer pick up, but I will assist in shipping if the Buyer makes the arrangements at Buyers expense.
Take a look at the pricing of other Collector Edition vettes on this and other website, and you'll see that this pricing is very fair. I'm only selling it because I've lost interest and haven't had the time to enjoy it. But now is the time of year to buy and drive it.
