| 1962 ARIZONA Corvette Convertible, NOM '77 350 Corvette Engine with aluminum heads, 2-speed Powerglide Automatic, beautiful Black exterior with Red interior with newer solft-top and included HARD-TOP. This is a beautiful and unique rust-free driver! The old drum brakes and front suspension were upgraded in 12/05 to disc brakes and rack and pinion steering with a bolt-on Jim Meyer front suspension (IFS parts retail $4240.00). It now has Camaro style disc brakes on the front wheels, a new brake master cylinder with a proportioning valve. The Jim Meyers suspension uses a Mustang II style coil over shock absorber system, rack and pinion, with a IDIDIT steering column. See Jim Meyer Racing website URL below for details. All parts are bolt-on using original bolt holes. All original '62 Corvette parts are present and included with vehicle! This Corvette makes the perfect driver with the stopping power of disc brakes, the ease and stability of rack and pinion steering while still retaining the beauty and poise of an original classic. And you reserve the option of fully converting it to power brakes and power steering or returning to to it's ORIGINAL condition (all original front end parts retained and included). The conversion was simple and is fully documented with records and pictures. The front end driver side quarter panel had a crack that was repaired two years ago. The entire front end was stripped, sealed and repainted. Overall, the paint job is great and the car looks extra-sharp (see pictures). The underside of the car is also in great rust-free condition. This Corvette has just recently returned from the AZ Corvette Restoration auto shop in Tempe, AZ for a complete tune and prep for sale. Runs and drives like a modern vehicle. Hate to see it go! |
