| ALL ORINGINAL!
*All original parts are available except the rubber seals for the passenger compartment. I am the second owner. I have replaced the water pump, brakes (and brake lines)and front control arm- all in a box for the serious period original collector.
The original owner put in a new battery and new tires in 1981. I have those tires stored. I used the car as a daily driver, but now only to visit shows or "Collector events" locally.
I got the car in 2003 with 42,000 miles and thoroughly enjoyed everything involved with the 30,000 I have driven the car. I drive her at least weekly to keep everything lubricated. She runs great AND STOPS just as well!
I put new brakes and steel brake lines on in 2006 BECAUSE she runs so fast!
The paint job is original except where the original owner tried to touch up some areas most noteably, the passenger side windshield/hood corner. No body work except having the dealer put new rubber seals around the cockpit.
There is a local Glass shop that services all of the major show cars in the Southeast and MAYBE if you buy this car we can get on his schedule to really fix it up like it should be.
This car has ORIGINAL FACTORY A/C AND RADIO - BOTH WORK!!!
Now for the big sell point, This car comes with ALL the ORIGINAL OWNER'S MANUALS, DEALERS WINDOW STICKER, EPA sticker 5935:"14mpg City and 19 Highway - catalyst equipped" and more- the ORIGINAL VANITY PLATES,HIGHWAY EMERGENCY KIT, WARRANTY AND WARRANTY STICKERS ON CARD, FIRESTONE TIRE WARRANTY and the NEVER USED - Ryan No. 1 Son, Gas Guard- CORVETTE LOGO RUBBER GAS CAP FLAP WITH MOUNTING KIT-a collectors item itself!
How many people,even on the concours circuit, have all of these? Not many!
There are a few issues on the interior - a small crack in the drivers side arm rest, the retracting plastic along the hand brake must be pulled up after use, But we do have the vinyl covers for the T-Tops to protect them when taken off for summer driving!
I will even include ALL of the SHOP MANUALS, Haynes restoration, Troubleshooting and other "How to" manuals I have, since I had intended to relax by slowly and carefully restoring while still driving.
Alas, as a disabled veteran, I can't get into all the necessary "mechanic-ing positions" hence the title of the ad as well.
