Blue-Green Chameleon exterior, code correct Dark Blue vinyl interior, White convertible top. Numbers matching 330hp 350ci LT1 engine, 4 speed manual transmission, posi rear-end. 1 of just 1,949 total LT1 cars built for the 1971 production year, this is one extremely rare convertible! This car, which was assembled on April 7, 1971, appears to be a very original unrestored driver quality car. More importantly, this car has just 55,863 original miles! The custom paint job changes from blue to green to purple, depending on lighting and the angle that it is being viewed. This paint is in overall good condition, showing some flaws from age and wear. The original paint code for this car shows as 979; this car can be professionally refinished in its original color of Bridgehampton Blue for an additional $5,000. The convertible top looks to be a few years old, in overall good condition with a good window. Weatherstripping (with the exception of the convertible top) appears to be very recent and is in very good condition. Taillights show average wear and tear for original units, and the chrome exterior door handles have strong return springs and no finish issues. This 1971 Corvette LT1 Convertible wears rally wheels, which are in very good condition with very good condition trim rings and center caps. Mounted on these wheels is a set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised white letter tires, which look to be nearly new with almost full tread showing. Chrome bumpers are in good original condition. Very much of the interior of this 1971 Corvette LT1 Convertible appears to be original, including the seat covers, door panels, carpet, gauges, and dash pad. All of these items, with the exception of the dash, are in good original condition with no major issues. Dash pad shows a large crack in the center and several small cracks on the corners. Original seatbelts are in place, and an aftermarket stereo cassette with the "Corvette" lettering has been installed. Center console is in good condition, and looks to have a more recent rear section. The engine compartment of this car shows an engine casting date of February 28, 1971, and a correct LT1 aluminum intake. New parts include brake lines, fuel tank, and spark plugs. A Carter AFB carburetor delivers the fuel. Exhaust manifolds look to have been swapped some time ago for a set of painted longtube headers. Frame shows some scale, but appears to be solid. A good sanding and detailing would make this frame show well. Please note that this car is not for everyone -- although it has the potential to be a very valuable car, it is in need of a total restoration, and will be sold AS-IS with the exception of the drivetrain warranty. Nonetheless, this car can be a real money maker if done right! Factory features include 330hp LT1 engine, 4 speed manual transmission, AM/FM radio. 55K Miles.
