1953 - 1962 C1 Corvettes For Sale

This is a nice straight good running and driving 1960 Corvette. It is Honduras Maroon with white coves and black interior, It is a manual transmission and has a 327 small block engine. Gauges, lights, and wipers all work. It has a white soft top.

This is 1957 fuel injected Corvette with a matching number 283/283 HP engine that was in a private collection since 1981. It is an older restoration that shows, runs, and drives really well. It has a very rare and original 1957 dated 4-speed transmission. The car comes with both the hard and soft tops, spare tire, and jack. Everything on this car works except the clock!  All and all a very nice car.

The 1953 model year was the Corvette's first production year. The Corvette body was constructed out of fiberglass and were essentially hand-built so that each 1953 Corvette is slightly different. All 1953 models had Polo White exteriors, red interiors, and black canvas soft tops. Order guides showed heaters and AM radios as optional, but all 1953 models were equipped with both. Over two-hundred 1953 Corvettes are known to exist today. They had independent front suspension, but featured a rigid axle supported by longitudinal leaf springs at the rear. The cost of the first production model Corvettes in 1953 was $3490.
