Most LT1 Engine equipped Corvettes were ordered without power steering, power brakes or any other options to keep the cost and weight down--and performance and excitement up! What a fun car to drive!

The LT1 Engine was specified in particular for use in the SCCA’s Class B Production racing series delivering less curb weight, less forward weight
Bias, shorter stopping distance, less cornering understeer and better overall balance.

Offered From 1970-1972, The 1970 LT-1 Engine was the highest horsepower of its three year production and also the least produced of the three year
Run with Only 1,287 1970 LT1 Engine Equipped Corvettes ordered.
