1972 NCRS Award Winning Stingray
1972 Corvette for sale in Pennsylvania - $32,750
I've owned this 1972 since 2008. Vette received a full frame-on interior and exterior restoration in 1982 with full engine rebuild and original color Ontario Orange lacquer was reapplied. Engine has approximately 45,000 miles based on prior owners records. Odometer is over 100k. Interior fully refreshed to original in 2012. Condition overall is very nice, clean, stock and original. This 72 has been through National Corvette Restoration Society (NCRS) judging twice. The first time, with no prep, scored a 3rd flight award and this exercise helped to identify all of the the things that were needed to bring the condition closer to as delivered from the factory. The second time through NCRS, achieved a second flight award on the higher end, close to top flight. If you are not familiar with NCRS flight judging, 6 highly knowledgeable judges who know 72's inside and out crawl under and around the vehicle to assess originality, correct parts, numbers, operations etc. It's a 5 hour process. Suffice to say, everything gets documented and this car comes with the judging sheets which take all the guesswork off the table since it's documented and part of the vehicle history with NCRS. This 1972 T-Top Corvette was also featured in a 4 page write up in Corvette Restorer magazine. It boasts a numbers correct drivetrain and most parts are numbers matching too. Engine numbers are correct but not matching (May 72 build date with May 72 Corvette engine - validated via NCRS). Starter has been upgraded; AC has been replaced with a close to factory compressor version that actually works and holds a charge. All of the lines have been replaced and done at a local Corvette shop that knows that they are doing. Alternator replaced (have original). As mentioned earlier, interior was refreshed to original as well. You get the car, PO2's (wheel covers) + rally wheel center caps and trim rings; NCRS judging reports; Original two page Tank Sticker; a book of receipts; pictures of restoration done in 1982 and a copy of the Magazine Article published in Corvette Restorer magazine that showcases the history and quality of this 1972 Stingray. Features: Power Steering, Power Windows, AC, Tilt/Telescopic wheel, Luggage rack, T-Tops, removable rear window, Power Brakes, Factory Alarm and factory stereo. Original radio was expertly fitted with an internal board that both amplifies output and enables you to connect your phone for music (Pandora, Apple Music etc.) There is a single hidden wire to connect to your phone. Pushbuttons on radio etc all 100% fully functional as original. Always garaged and starts right up no issues. I take it out for a spin in nice dry weather to keep it operating and lubricated. All work has always been done by local highly qualified Corvette shop. I've driven this car from Ohio to PA when I purchased it years ago; It's been to the Carlisle Corvette Show multiple times and local shows. There is no issue driving this car distance or local. This car is a nice clean condition that has no disappointments. Walking the body lines, there are few minor but touched-up knicks on the hood and around the wheel wells where rocks kick up (to be expected). Driver's side rear quarter has an ever so slight visible body seam which hasn't changed since I bought the car over a dozen years ago. Just illustrates the originality of the car. Chrome bumpers are clean, shiny, no dents and very presentable. Glass is good all around. Non-original windshield which took away from achieving top flight, as do non original radials (no way I'd drive this on bias ply). Message me with interest. Happy to take additional pics for interested parties. Located in Southeastern, Pennsylvania -- King of Prussia / West Chester area. Bank Wire Transfer / Certified Check / Cash. No trades.
